Yantai Development Zone Dongxing Hospital is a civilian-run legal entity that is affiliated to Dongxing Group. As first-batch medical insurance unit of the development zone, the hospital was founded in 1993, mainly engaging in general practice, rehabilitation medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, internal medicine, surgery, palliative care etc. 80 beds are planned. For rehabilitation and palliative care, there are about 120 beds actually. As the only rehabilitation medicine institution with complete rehabilitation professionals and facilities in the development zone, the hospital has two affiliated health service stations which are responsible for the health service for 24 residential areas with more than 40 thousand people. By May 2018, the hospital had signed agreement of medical insurance outpatient overall planning and chronic diseases with patients of 16 major illnesses (class-A chronic diseases) and patients of 35 class-B chronic diseases to supply medical service and reimbursement service. Up to now, building use nature change has been approved by planning bureau of the development zone. Shougang Hotel has been transformed and decorated and will be put into use by November 2019. The hotel covers area near ten thousand square meters; building area is larger than 5,000 square meters. The environment is independent and opening space is large for health care and combination of medical treatment and endowment.
